Palestine
Leaping over deserts but leaves no trace in the sand
PALESTINE represents the lost land, leaping over deserts but leaves no trace in the sand. PALESTINE resides in Gothenburg, and ”BLEDI” is his first own release in Sweden.
”Bledi” is Arabic for homeland, and PALESTINE wrote the song after seeing the prison camp in Jenin be destroyed. In the chorus Raman Kotani sings: ”My homeland my life, don’t leave me, I have nothing still they can never take away my song”.
This four tracks CD gives a foretaste of PALESTINEs debut album, to be released later this year. Producers are SoulScientists, Jimmy Ledrac and Cha-EM. Among the featured guests are SCOOB ROCK and RAMAN KOTANI.
”Bledi” is already released in Greece, and PALESTINE also features Spanish artist Rde RUMBA’s successful album R DE RUMBA. He recently was in Spain recording with one of the biggest hip hop groups in Spain (Violadores del Verso, Zaragoza, Spain). He also has been an opening act to artist such as Black Moon (NY,Brooklyn), Afu-Ra (NY, New York), GZA from the Wu-Tang Clan( NY, Staten island), Jeru the Damaja ( Ny, Brooklyn) and he also been on hip hop tours in Germany and Scandinava. PALESTINE has also been featured on various Hip Hop releases and mixtapes in Europe, where he gained his name from his lyrics about his Palestinian heritage and from the original style of beats he tends to use. During the Swedish hip-hop awards he was nominated in the "best newcoming artist" category.
